LISTENING EXPERIENCE
This past weekend, I was listening to iTunes on my computer.  Now, usually I like to listen to my music on the shuffle feature.  I'm sure this isn't a surprise, since I would bet most people do the same thing.  This particular time and for some reason, my computer was playing my tunes in alphabetical order by artist.  That gave me a different listening experience....a listening experience that I grew up with, one that is lacking in our music industry of "singles" today, and one that I hope people will return to soon.  This particular day, my listening experience was hearing one album by one artists....one album at a time!  Several songs from the same artist and the same album in one listening experience. It gave me the enjoyment of listening to music the way each artist has written and produced their craft....by conceptual album.  I do think one can enjoy a song all on it's own, and I've done it many times.  However, listening to an album has brought back emotions of why I enjoy certain artists and their amazing works of art.  Their albums are a package of hard work and great stories.  As a manager in the music industry for many many years, I understand the changing world of "singles" that we live in, and why it works.  However, I hope to inspire everyone to go back and listen to your favorite albums from the first song to the last song.  You will love your Listening Experience!

Enjoy!!!!!  Sandy

Theory 13 review

07.13 Review: Theory 13 rocks Tammany Hall, catch them Aug. 17 at Lucky Dog
By Shane O’Dwyer

Recently I had the privilege to catch my first live show with Theory 13 at Tammany Hall in Worcester. Minka and TESTER opened the show. The two bands played extremely well, so it gave me the idea that Theory 13 would do awesome, and I was right, Theory 13 gave an amazing performance.

Members of Theory 13 includes Alec Fornaciari on lead vocals and guitar, Aart Knyff on lead guitar, Mike Landry on bass and last, but not least, Kevin Figueiredo on drums. What I liked most about this band was that each of the members were all equally very talented and in perfect balance, which made the music sound great live. It seemed as if Knyff had got guitar lessons from Hendrix, Figueiredo got drum lessons from John Densmore, and Landry got bass lessons from John Entwistle.

Let’s not forget about lead vocalist Fornaciari, who performed flawlessly and sounded as if he was being played off a recorded and edited album! I enjoyed every minute of the show, and judging from the crowd, others felt the same. Theory 13 has dedicated fans who truly love the music.

Which makes me ask myself, “Why aren’t these guys huge yet?” They should be ~ so check out this band. Theory 13 is available on iTunes; Don’t worry these guys don’t mess with Auto-Tune.

Check out Theory 13 live at The Lucky Dog in Worcester on Aug. 17 and on the band’s Facebook page at facebook.com/theory13music. The music video for Theory 13’s new son “Right Now” can be seen on YouTube at youtube.com/watch?v=g1Lq4GZQzcI.

Caroline's Spine is hitting the road again, and to go along with these tour dates, a new single will be released on April 16, 2013.  Check out the tour dates tab often as dates are being added regularly.  The new single is called "Eskimo Butterfly" and will be available to purchase on the band's website (www.carolinespine.com).  The release date for iTunes will be determined soon.

More info:

The band’s new single, “ESKIMO BUTTERFLY” will be released on April 16, 2013.

Caroline’s Spine is an American Alt-Rock band started in southern California. Born out of the ‘90s post-grunge scene, the group rose to fame when their recording of “Sullivan” - the true story of brothers lost on the same ship in WWII - unexpectedly broke the Top40. Tours throughout the US & Europe, with Aerosmith & Kiss, exhibited the band’s “astonishing and heartfelt” performances.

Caroline’s Spine has “Shiny, singable rock hooks that set it apart...akin to Live and Pearl Jam.” states Billboard.  The band has sold in excess of 500,000 units on the strength of songs including  “Nothing to Prove,” “Wallflower,” and “the Light Inside.”

Showcasing a “melodic train-wreck” sound that fans claim bridge a gap between folk songwriting and alternative rock, Caroline’s Spine is best experienced in concert.
